The first reconstruction of the horizontal well (Fan116-3HF) lead by Sheng Li Petroleum engineering Technology Research Institute succussed on May 25, 2023.

For Fan 116-3HF, the vertical depth is 2789m, the length of the horizontal zoom is 1042m. The staged fracturing operation had been done six times in 2012, however, the effect was very limited. To tap the potential of this well, the operation that to drill the plug in 139mm casing and to reconstruct with 101mm casing have been decided after long discussion and the narrow gap cementing became the most important job for the whole plan.  

Finally, the solution has been given by OPT team after long discussion with Well cementing service center. All the cement slurries are flow-off systems designed by the OPT team. The density of lead slurry and tail slurry is 1.85SG and 1.90SG respectively, and the spacer density is 1.02SG. The specialized hydrostatic design effectively supported no migration during WOC. Due to the good rheology performance, the pump operation went very smoothly. This success has enriched our experience for reconstruction cementing and provided a solution to further develop the old low permeability reservoir.
